Like a lot of Dolphins players, Austin Jackson’s start to the season was terrible, league-worst-level terrible. Our veteran but still young twenty-seven-year-old right tackle has been a liability in the pass game and serviceable in the run game, posting so far this year a 43.7 PFF grade, broken down to 41.2 in pass and 55.3…
The Miami Dolphins made their second trade of training camp Thursday, sending wide receiver Tutu Atwell to the Los Angeles Rams for running back Jarquez Hunter. I did not believe Atwell was going to make Miami’s 53-man roster, so getting something back for him was a good move. Rather than simply releasing a player who…
The Miami Dolphins’ 26-3 preseason loss to the New York Giants was a game lacking many bright spots. Wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. showed some promise when on the field, tight end Will Kacmarek had some nice moments, and linebacker Jackson Woodard showed us he wants a spot with his high-effort play. There was one…

There were some good moments, some things that definitely need to get cleaned up, and plenty of physical football. I thought the Giants probably had a slight edge overall, mostly because their pass rush…
The first preseason game is in the books, and per PFF, the Dolphins’ highest-rated player was newcomer Caedan Wallace, with an 87.5 overall grade. His 79.0 grade in pass protection and great run-blocking grade of 91.0 have not gone unnoticed. Wallace, No. 75, and a 2029 seventh-round pick joined the Dolphins through a trade with…
The Miami Dolphins are still weeks away from the regular season, but injuries are already forcing them to take a closer look at the depth of their roster. Offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer will miss the season after being placed on injured reserve, while quarterback Quinn Ewers is dealing with a groin injury that will keep…
The Miami Dolphins released their first depth chart ahead of Friday’s preseason opener, and head coach Jeff Hafley made it clear Wednesday not to get too carried away with what it says. Speaking before the Dolphins’ joint practice with the Washington Commanders, Hafley cautioned against reading too deeply into the depth chart. “It’s a start,”…
