Keith Cooper Jr. might be a backend player who sticks During the Miami Dolphins’ preseason game against the New York Giants, one of the few positives was the play of a guy I barely knew was on the team: Keith Cooper Jr. Play after play, Cooper caught my eye and made me glad he was…
The Miami Dolphins got an extended look at their depth Saturday afternoon in the Dolphins vs. Giants preseason matchup, a 26-3 loss that gave the coaching staff and front office plenty to evaluate. Most of Miami’s established starters didn’t play, and even several young players the Dolphins are trying to develop into building blocks had…
The Miami Dolphins’ 26-3 preseason loss to the New York Giants was a game lacking many bright spots. Wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. showed some promise when on the field, tight end Will Kacmarek had some nice moments, and linebacker Jackson Woodard showed us he wants a spot with his high-effort play. There was one…
We’re not sure yet how much the Dolphins’ starters will play Saturday against the Giants. We’ll probably know more tomorrow before the game, but either way, there are several things I’m really interested in getting a longer look at. There are players fighting for roster spots, others trying to move up the depth chart, and…
The first preseason game is in the books, and per PFF, the Dolphins’ highest-rated player was newcomer Caedan Wallace, with an 87.5 overall grade. Still, the Dolphins marched 93 yards down the field on a…
The Miami Dolphins’ preseason opener offered the first look at a young roster that has spent training camp trying to become more physical and establish an identity up front. One preseason game, especially against a Washington team that rested several starters, isn’t enough to draw any major conclusions. Still, there were encouraging signs from many…
After weeks of training camp practices, position battles, and plenty of evaluation, the Miami Dolphins finally get to play a football game. Miami opens the preseason against the Washington Commanders tonight, giving us our first chance to see this young roster in game action. The final score isn’t what matters most. This is about seeing…
Every training camp has a player who seemingly comes out of nowhere and makes you start paying attention. For the Miami Dolphins, DJ Herman is becoming one of those players. Herman wasn’t drafted and wasn’t part of Miami’s initial group of undrafted free-agent signings. The former San Diego State linebacker came to Dolphins rookie minicamp…
The Miami Dolphins released their first depth chart ahead of Friday’s preseason opener, and head coach Jeff Hafley made it clear Wednesday not to get too carried away with what it says. Speaking before the Dolphins’ joint practice with the Washington Commanders, Hafley cautioned against reading too deeply into the depth chart. “It’s a start,”…
